EVENING Menu

Our evening menu

Here at Reggies we combine delicious street food and authentic Indian curries. Our chef Reggie hails from Vasai, a coastal town near Mumbai and brings personal knowledge of these delicious and exciting recipes. We have re-created some of the tastiest and most authentic dishes sold by street vendors for you to enjoy.

For Allergen information please refer to our online ordering system when placing your order. We use NUTS all over our kitchen there for we cannot guarentee a nut free meal.

CHILDREN: We do have a ‘less’ spiced children’s menu but we can also cater for smaller portions of our standard menu depending on your little ones tolerance to spice.

Street food

Street food is an Asian phenomenon taking the world by storm. People of all economic backgrounds converge on the roadside to eat what is often more exciting food than can be found in the cities’ many restaurants. Explore our delicious street food:

Pav Baji... £10

The most famous street food offering. Originally lunch for the textile workers, this is now enjoyed all over the city. A vegetable based curry served with raw onions and soft white Pav.

Pani Puri... £8

A very popular dish of hollow, crispy fried dough balls (puri) which can be stuffed with different fillings. Here we use a chickpea ragu together with spicy tangy water and a sweet chutney.

Bhel... £8

There are Bhel-Wallas on every corner of Mumbais’ streets. Mixing puffed rice, onions, tomato, chilli, coriander, bombay mix and topped with pomegranate. A really tasty bite…every wallas has their own version, here is ours.

Tadka Dhal... £6

Dal tadka is the one of the great Indian lentil dishes. Restaurants and street hawkers serve it everywhere for a reason. It is just, really tasty.

Keema PAV... £12

Keema is a well spiced lamb dish made from prime mince and is ubiquitous in Mumbai. We have included it in our street food section as it is just too good to ignore. Served with a Pav

Goan Mussels... £12

The lunch of the Chawk dwellas, the cart pullers, the street urchins, the clerks, the cops and the gansters. Deep fried spiced potato mixed in a soft white roll with chutney and coriander.

Idly Chips... £8

Idli or idly is a rice cake originating from South India. A healthy protein, popular as a lunch food. Made by steaming a batter of fermented black lentils and rice. We cut them into chips, fry them and toss with garam and black salt.  Served with masala ketchup.

Masala Dosa... £12

Very heathy, perfectly light, soft and crispy Indian crepes stuffed with a wonderfully spiced savoury potato and onion filling and served with chutneys.

Belly POrk... £10

Hard fried belly pork peices tossed in a chat salad and a blend of special spices to give a warming feel.

Curries

All of our curry’s are Reggies own and are curated from secret spice blends sent to us direct from his family. Some have never been used outside of their family home! All the below curries come with cumin and coriander rice. Reggie does not cook hot curries as he believes that too much heat takes away from the layered flavour. If you like your currys hotter, please ask for chilli flakes, but we do ask you try first.
